Introducing our new Deputy Head (Pastoral) - Jonnie Howorth
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jonnie Howorth as our next Deputy Head (Pastoral).
We had a large number of applicants and Jonnie’s experience and educational philosophy saw him standing out in a very strong field.
Jonnie was educated at Stowe School and went on to study Geography and Urban Studies at the University of Birmingham. Before undertaking his PGCE at the UCL Institute of Education, Jonnie spent six years working in the advertising industry.
Jonnie is currently Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Head of Boarding at Rendcomb College. He is also Rendcomb’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, oversees the College’s co-curricular programme and is an ISI inspector. Before moving to Rendcomb, Jonnie taught at Shiplake College, serving as Head of Lower School, Senior Housemaster and Head of Cricket.
Jonnie and his wife, Julia, have three sons, and he enjoys playing football, cricket, golf and tennis whenever he can.
Jonnie will be joining us in September, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him on board.
